Have you ever had a mad craving to try a trio of culinary indulgences -- wine, chocolate and cheese -- in one setting? How about now? Well, you’re in luck. ENO, a new concept for wine, cheese and chocolate enthusiasts, just debuted at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel.
Chicago was the first city to open an ENO, and now Orange County can discover the modern and sleek wine and cheese tasting room. It features dark woods, a floor-to-ceiling glass wine cellar, a visible glass-walled cheese cave, marble top communal tables, and romantic lighting.
The no-pressure approach is key here. ENO's staff are wine and cheese experts, yet whether you're a sommelier or a neophyte you'll feel at home. You can order flights from the wine sampling menu, or come up with your own tasting to complement artisanal cheeses from around the world.
And try gourmet and handmade chocolates and truffles from local chocolatiers. The selections are mind boggling: 500 wines, 35 varieties of artisanal cheeses, and an ever-changing menu of world-class chocolates.
Flights arrive at the table with freshly baked breads and seasonal accoutrements such as quince paste, Spanish Marcona almonds and assorted olives or supplement them with a charcuterie plate.
