IT'S TIME FOR WINE
We love that there are more wine bars in OC than ever before, and the Reserve Wine Bar and Shop in Ladera Ranch is a standout. It's a European-style wine bar and full-service wine store where you can stop in for a glass of wine, order a few appetizers, and make a night out of it. Even Wine Spectator magazine gives it an award in its summer issue, and the Reserve's online website makes shopping for wines just a click away.
Owners Ed and Jennifer Manetta offer wines of the world, delicious European-influenced dishes, wine flights, and more than 30 wines poured by the glass. The ever-changing, wine friendly menu can include grilled Argentinean sandwiches, crab cakes, spinach quiche, caviar, artisan cheeses and desserts.
Ed, a certified sommelier and UCI wine instructor, shares his love of wines and food, along with his expertise at finding great wines at unbeatable prices. "Please shop and compare" is Ed's motto.
He's worked in the wine business for more than 10 years and he can find the best prices on wines. Price ranges from $6 a bottle to $600.
The Reserve Wine Bar and Shop will participate in the 3rd annual Taste of Ladera Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Ladera Ranch Town Green (right across the street from the store). They'll be pouring great wines, serving Champagne Jell-o shots and offering much more. Sample food from local restaurants and listen to great music. And, here's a great tip: Hollywood U2, a U2 cover band, plays in the late afternoon/early evening.
