Fashion Island just added another great dining option, the Yard House known for its extensive American fusion menu, classic rock, and the world’s largest selection of beer.
Don't miss the glass-enclosed keg room that can house 400 kegs and more than 1,000 gallons of beer, along with the impressive construction of more than three miles of steel lines transporting beer to the bar.
You can watch sports or news from any of the two-dozen plasma screens. And a state-of-the-art sound system can play more than 5,000 hand-picked classic rock tunes with an eclectic mix of disco and '80s hits.
Each day founder Steel Platt creates a playlist from his Newport Coast home and sends it via the Internet to 17 Yard House locations. Music, great food and beer are keys to the Yard House's success. The custom sound system is so sophisticated that Platt can change music instantly to best suit the age and preference of guests.
The menu created by award-winning executive chef and partner Carlito Jocson features more than 100 items, including appetizers, salads, sandwiches, rice and pasta dishes, as well as steak and seafood. And just for kids, a prix fixe menu, printed on a 12-page activity book, features regular menu items served in age-appropriate portions with a choice of side dishes, a Kustom Kooler and fresh fruit dessert bar.
