Join Nirvana Grille's grand opening celebration of its new Laguna Beach location with signature cocktails and a tasting menu served Saturday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Award-winning executive Chef Lindsay Smith-Rosales will give 100% of the profits from the $65 per person cost to the Friendship Shelter. The charity assists homeless adults in regaining self-sufficiency and becoming fully productive members of our community.

Following the original Nirvana Grille in Mission Viejo, the restaurant's warm, inviting atmosphere draws inspiration from its name: a haven for the senses.

Chef Lindsay, formerly with the Ritz-Carlton and Pascal, offers healthy dishes made with sustainable and predominantly organic ingredients with subtle, interesting flavors. Her husband Luis Rosales, formerly at the Ritz-Carlton and the Montage Resort, offers guests the same attention and impeccable service at Nirvana.

Favorite dishes include the Nirvana veggie burger with brown rice, vegetables and mushrooms, blue or cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, caramelized onion and thyme fries; the rich wild mushroom ravioli with artichoke cream pesto, pine nuts, parmesan cheese; and the delicious basil aioli crusted wild king salmon with asparagus, meyer lemon olive oil and jasmine rice.

Also try the pan-seared wild Alaskan halibut, tomato and herb beurre blanc with sautéed green beans with smoked salt and French lentils; and the incredible pistachio crusted Chilean seabass with beurre blanc served with asparagus with Meyer lemon oil and caramelized leek mashed potatoes. Or enjoy an organic beef burger with blue or cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, caramelized onion and thyme fries.
