PARTY FOR A CURE!

With a mission to raise funds for breast cancer research, the Pink Tie Ball on Saturday, April 5 at Soka University in Aliso Viejo promises to be inspirational and spectacular. It's an evening of dining and dancing, unique festivities and beautiful imagery to benefit the OC Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Guests will arrive at sunset with a cocktail reception. A thousand paper cranes will hang from cherry tree branches -- signifying a "1000 Cranes of Hope." One lucky guest will win an elegant piece of jewelry by Winston’s Jewelers.

There will also be a Parade of Arts silent auction, donated by local artists.

Guests will be led to the ballroom for a tantalizing three-course menu crafted by some of Orange County's most talented chefs. Chefs include Carlito Jocson, Yard House Restaurants; Brian Hirsty, Bluewater Grill; Alan Greenly, Golden Truffle; James Hamamori, Hamamori; Bill Bracken, Island Hotel; Chris Garnier, Roy’s Restaurant; and Richard Mead, Sage.

A live auction will be followed by dessert and dancing until midnight. Auction items include a one-year lease on a 2008 BMW Z4 from Crevier BMW, a gourmet feast in your home personalized by world renowned Master Chef Roberto Gerometta, a Tuscany vacation in a historic castle and other unique spa, vacation and sporting experiences.

And if you can't make it to the event you can contribute in an affordable and beautiful way. You can purchase a "Promise Lantern" for $25 each to honor, memorialize or celebrate persons who have faced breast cancer. These gorgeous, colorful lanterns will be set afloat Soka campus' Peace Lake adding a beautiful glow.

Pink Tie Ball tickets cost $350 or $3,500 for a table of ten, and all proceeds will benefit the Orange County affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
