BEAUTIFUL BLUE CORAL



Good things are worth waiting for, and Blue Coral Seafood & Spirits is a perfect example. The incredible restaurant duo of Paul Fleming and Bill Allen, founders of Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, took four years to expertly give birth to this upscale seafood restaurant recently opened at Fashion Island in Newport Beach.

Once inside Blue Coral, you’ll feel better without even eating or drinking a thing. In fact, you'll feel like you're on vacation. The simple beauty of iridescent mosaic blue tiles, hand-blown glass sculptures of blue coral, teak floors and a chandelier made to look like water droplets radiate that perfect vacation vibe.

At the bar where 60 bottles of vodka glow in hues of blue, check out the incredibly cool waterfall that cascades in front of flat-screen TVs. And then there’s what’s going on behind the bar. Mixologists are busy preparing 14 specialty, hand-stirred martinis, 31 original cocktails, vodka flights, fruit infusions, and 60 wines by the glass.

As for the food, Blue Coral takes a fresh spin on the inherently wonderful flavors of fish. With the freshest fish of the season, they’ve created signature dishes that will keep you coming back for more.

Must-tries are the sharable Maine lobster en fuego, a large lobster nestled in homemade chips and slowly baked in spicy creamy fuego chili aioli ($36) and the Chilean sea bass baked in a parchment paper moon with fresh herbs and Mediterranean tomato broth ($28).

Perfect side dishes include tangy fuji apple and blue cheese slaw, lobster macaroni and cheese and grilled asparagus. And try the delicious lobster cobb salad and carpaccio nicoise.
