Celebrate 20 years of Hawaiian fusion cuisine today through Saturday at Roy's Fashion Island in Newport Beach. Roy's serves a special "1988 Dinner" that honors Chef Roy Yamaguchi's founding of the first Roy's in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1988.

As a guest you can enjoy a special four-course dinner with wines showcasing Chef Roy Yamaguchi's beloved culinary creations that sparked an international following. Roy's dishes combine freshest local ingredients, European sauces, Asian spices, with a focus on fresh seafood.

The menu starts with classic fusion: crispy Chinese char-siu pork and shrimp spring rolls; Roy's Kahana sweet & sour black bean dragon sauce; paired with Ponzi Pinot Gris.

The second course is an honored favorite: Japanese-braised short rib cassoulet; sautéed wild mushrooms and Hawaii kai old school cabernet reduction; paired with Ponzi Pinot Noir.

The third course is the classic Hawaiian: Hakone-style seared fresh Hawaiian Ono; roasted garlic spinach, shiso yuzu lemon butter sauce; paired with Schramsberg Mirabelle Rose.

And for an indulgent finish: warm Hawaiian macadamia nut tart with French vanilla bean ice cream.

Costs $75 per person with wine selections; and $55 per without wine (not including tax and gratuity).
