ECO-LUXURY BY DESIGN
Want to help save the planet and make a room look fabulous? Check out the new line of green upholstered furniture from Debi Bodinus, an award-winning interior designer based in Newport Beach and Hawaii.
The D’Bodinus Eco-Luxury furniture line is made of non-toxic, chemical-free materials, including rubber latex foam, eco-wool and organic cotton. Her Eco-Luxury upholstery selections include organic and chemical-free fabrics including linen, cotton, hemp, wool and bamboo.
Bodinus painstakingly researched every facet of the furniture making process to ensure it's genuinely eco-friendly.
Her interest in green design was sparked 10 years ago when she learned of the effects of harsh chemicals contained in most building and interior materials and products. And after losing her brother to lung cancer, Debi became committed to designing only green projects.
Her interior design projects include other eco-friendly products and practices: borate-treated lumber to ward off termites; formaldehyde-free wall insulation; natural tiger wood posts and railings; low e-glass windows and doors; natural stone and cork flooring; lime plaster wall treatments; VOC-free paints; energy-efficient LED lighting; natural Hawaiian wood (Norfolk pine); organic beds and bedding; Energy Star-rated appliances and low-flow plumbing fixtures.
