KENTUCKY FASHION DERBY
It's Friday, so the time is right for a little fun.
From the hills of Kentucky, we've found kindred spirits in Attus Apparel. This group of fledgling apparel designers knows a thing or two about enjoying life, and we think their website is hysterical.
But we're not the only ones. The New York Times, Newsday and ThrillList have caught on to Attus Apparel (available only online) for its off-beat polo shirts that eschew emblems like polo players and alligators for symbols such as a broken skateboard (pictured above), a 40-ounce beer bottle and a stripper on a pole.
Attus believes that while a polo shirt can be a staple of your wardrobe, there's no reason why you can't set yourself apart from the rest of the group by adding a little rebellious logo.
Its Threaded for Liberation 100% cotton pique polo shirts are slim fitting, garment washed, with a slight vintage distressing. Priced at $54, and last season's shirts just $27.

SKIMBOARD NIRVANA
Laguna Beach-based Victoria Skimboards, will host a one-day skimboard celebration Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. that includes the premiere of its first DVD "Dayz," skimboard safety and board selection clinics, a Surfrider Foundation barbecue fundraiser, and a giant skimboard sale. Victoria Skimboards is at 2955 Laguna Canyon Rd., #1 in Laguna Beach.
