GRILLE TO PERFECTION!
Celebrate Sorrento Grille's 20th anniversary Thursday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m in Laguna Beach and help out local schools.
At Thursday's party, just make a minimum donation of $35 (for SchoolPower) and enjoy Sorrento's hors d'oeuvres and cocktails throughout the evening.
For two decades, Sorrento's served up steaks, chops and fresh seafood over a mesquite wood-fired grill. And its Martini Bar draws a late-night crowd with a variety of hand-shaken specialty martinis.
Through the entire month, a portion of each Sorrento Grille check will go towards to SchoolPower, a volunteer-based, non-profit organization that raises funds to enrich the education in the Laguna Beach School District.
Founder David Wilhelm and Chef Ryan Adams refreshed some Sorrento Grille classics on the new summer menu. Those items include kampachi sashimi with hot sizzling sesame-citrus vinaigrette; and shrimp Diablo with flamed with tequila, chipotles, tomatoes and Dijon mustard.
Entrée items include a pan seared Bronzino with gnocchi, leeks, Maine lobster, and citrus-vanilla jus; and crispy salmon with summer succotash, favas and spicy tomato vinaigrette; and a 20 oz. kurobuta pork chop on spiced kabocha squash, bacon, apples with fig-balsamic jus.
