Blue Coral Seafood & Spirits in Newport Beach opens early (at 3:30 p.m.) on Father's Day with a special menu in honor of dad.
Chef Chris Hutten enhances the traditional menu with delectable specials, including Cajun barbecued shrimp and spicy mango sushi rolls with Creole mustard dipping sauce; cedar grilled wild Alaskan salmon steak with warm mushroom salad and roasted pepper-herb butter; and a warm chocolate-pecan caramel tart with vanilla bean ice cream. The beautiful Mariposa restaurant at Neiman Marcus will serve a Father's Day brunch on Sunday starting at noon. Guests can sit inside the restaurant or on the Terrace.
The delicious brunch menu includes specialty cocktails, starters, main course, and desserts. A sample of choices include warm blueberry coffee cake with sweet cream; roasted corn soup with lobster and fresh chives; and Duck Confit with yukon gold and asparagus hash, poached egg and crispy onion.
