At Xpecting, owner Stephani Gresham fills a niche in Eastside Costa Mesa for moms looking for stylish designer wear not available at chain maternity stores.
Now expecting mothers can find casual day wear, dresses for evening and black-tie events at this exclusive boutique. Some popular lines include low-ride Habitual and Serfontaine jeans, Michael Stars Maternity, Childish, Lotta Stensson, Cadeau, Liz Lange and N.O.M. The must-have diaper bag collection by British designer Storksak, Rockin’ Baby slings, and Hooter Hider nursing shawls are all the rage for new moms.
And since comfortable bras and panties are equally as essential to maternity wear, Xpecting offers great designers like Bella Materna and Spanx.
To further support motherhood, Gresham launched her new website in conjunction with Mothers 2 Mothers to donate 5% through December sales to this non-profit organization. m2m is a program for HIV-positive pregnant women and new mothers in Africa that offers medical, social and emotional support to empower women to protect their own health and the health of their babies.
Xpecting even has something that will appeal to dads: Diaper Dude bags.
"These dad-bags were designed by a Southern California father who had different practical and style needs," Gresham said. "Once I saw them I was sold and I can't tell you how many fathers are relieved to have a tote that suits them!"
