Are you Privy to Prive?

05.10.12

This isn’t your normal pop-up – this is Chef Ryan Carson and his touring pop-up restaurant, ‘Pri-ve! It’s like the circus is coming to town, but instead of creepy juggling clowns, and over-worked elephants, Chef Carson will bring his menu of astounding flavors and innovative comfort foods to Taco Asylum at The CAMP for three days this month.  Chef Ryan Carson has been praised for his ability to use classic ingredients in a sophisticated and inventive discipline. His dishes have been known to transport diners back to their childhood in an adult kind of way.

‘Pri-vé will be at Taco Asylum for Mother’s Day on Sunday twhere the restaurant will offer a menu that has been referred to as “Brunch for Dinner” featuring Chef Carson’s interpretations of classic brunch items in a dinner setting.

‘Pri-ve will also be here on May 20th and 21st featuring an “obsCURE BEER GARDEN DINNER”. The menu will feature items that go great with a nice glass of beer.  It’s Chef Ryan Carson’s take on beer food.  I would try the Wild Boar Slim Jim with Tillamook cheddar cheese wiz or the house made pretzel with aged gouda mornay.

Don’t miss this chance to try experience Chef Ryan Carson’s touring restaurant ‘Pri-ve. The food is delicious, the experience is wonderful, and this opportunity is temporary because like the Circus, ‘Pri-vé is only in town for a limited time.

Reservations for any of the three nights can be made by calling (909) 576-9210 or emailing .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Guests must include name, party size, and reservation date. All reservations will be confirmed in advance of the desired date. ‘Pri-vé at taco asylum is located at 725 Baker St Costa Mesa, CA 92626.

American Idiot at Segerstrom

California’s own Green Day have evolved over the years from hyperactive punks to writing Grammy nominated rock opera albums. Their stage show has changed from starting a full mudfight at ’94 Woodstock (watch the guitar solo at 1:43 where he un-tunes his guitar and starts throwing mud) to supplying music to a Tony nominated Musical.

This musical, American Idiot is coming to the Segerstrom Center of the Arts May 29-June 3rd. The rock opera follows Jesus of Suburbia who grows tired of his town and moves to new adventures along with his friends in the city. American Idiot the Musical will be a more refined performance of their music than Woodstock, but there is still adult language and content.

Make sure to get your tickets now to this one week event. Tickets start at $25. Segerstrom Center for the Arts is at 600 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa. 714.556.2787
