A Fresh Spin On Classic Fish And Chips


The place to go for a fresh spin on classic fish and chips? Tres Muchachos on East 17th Street in Costa Mesa takes traditional fish and chips on a tour around South America. Start with your seafood, choose your breading style, add a salsa, and then pick your papas!

Seafood choices range from fish of the day, scallops, shrimp, and calamari. Choose a favorite breading style (beer battered or lighter crispy spicy), and add a house-made salsa or other sauces, and papas --- their take on traditional chips include truffle fries, sweet batata, panzon biggies and flaco skinny. Tapas choices include crab pelatos, smelt fish fries, zucchini canamo, and onion fries. You can also choose from salads, tacos, fish sandwiches and ask about their secret menu, too.

You should save room for their selection of desserts made by their Chef de Patisserie such as Peanut butter and jelly 24-layer cake, red velvet cakes, 24 layers chocolate cake, fresh biscotti and more. Enjoy dessert served with a cup of Common Room Roasters coffee.
