OK, so you’re not going on a wine tour to Bordeaux, France anytime soon. No worries, neither are we. Here’s the next best thing. You can join James Beard-nominated sommelier Eric Espuny on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Pinot Provence in Costa Mesa as he kicks off a three-week master’s class and wine dinner series exploring the famed Bordeaux region.

Each evening features a discussion topic, multi-course tasting menu prepared by Patina’s executive chefs with wine pairings hand-picked by Eric and accompanied by tasting notes. The menu highlights include hamachi cru, wild mushroom mille-feuille, New Zealand lamb rack. Costs $115 per person. Guests can experience range of varietals by attending all three dinners. You can view the full menu here. Pinot Provence is at 686 Anton Blvd. in Costa Mesa. 714.444.5900.

The next Bordeaux master class is at Pinot Bistro in Studio City (March 3); and Café Pinot in downtown LA (March 10).
