Alzheimer’s Association OC Free educational Programs

If you, or any of your loved ones are affected by Alzheimer’s, you can join the Alzheimer's Association Orange County Chapter for free educational opportunities.

On Monday, Jan 23, 2-4 p.m., at “Effective Communication Strategies” you can learn to decode the verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone with dementia, and identify strategies to help you connect and communicate at each stage of the disease. On Tuesday, Jan. 24, 1-2:30 p.m. at “Understanding & Responding to Dementia-Related Behavior” on a teleconference, you can learn about some of the common triggers for behaviors associated with dementia, how to assess the person’s needs, and how to intervene effectively.

On Friday, Feb. 3, 2-4 p.m. at “The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease” you can learn about detection, causes, risk factors, stages and treatment of Alzheimer's disease.  Registration required by phone 800.272.3900 or online.
