1. If you had to begin a different career, what would you do?
I would be a National Geographic resident photographer. I have always been interested in travel and the cultures that surround us. Not a "Four Seasons Resort" traveler, but rather, one who can sit on the curbside with the people who comprise a culture, and truly understand what made them "them."
2. What’s your most prized possession?
I was given a ring with a Nuestra Señora de Atocha coin, set in silver. It has forever made me feel a part of history. The coin/ring is of immense value to me, not only in the historical significance meaning, but it speaks to me in the much larger sense and where I came from and of the history of my ancestry.
3. Favorite drink?
A McDonald's coke - not a Coke, but a McDonald's coke - HUGE difference. They (Mc'Donald's) seem to have mastered the most simplest modern day chemistry.
4. Fantasy purchase?
I believe in efficiency... a helio-copter would eliminate traffic.
5. What are you cutting out because of the economy?
I live very slim. I have no TV, no cable, etc. No excess... I think I have cut all that needs to be cut.
6. What can't you live without?
I love Moroccan Oil. With a head of hair like mine, I need help.
7. What's next on your "to do" list?
I would love to see a Rasta Taco "brick and mortar" fast casual restaurant on every "island" and beach community. It just seems like a perfect fit.
8. Biggest regret?
I lived in Spain while studying my MBA for two years. Upon my 23 and 1/2 month, I met "the one." With my return ticket in hand back to the U.S. - and plans to conquer to world - I boarded my plane. I wish I would have stayed with her and seen what would have become.
9. Cause that you’re most interested/involved in?
The VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars of the US). We wake up everyday for the sacrifices other have made. I'm proud to me a member.
10. Your dream day in Orange County?
Working as tour guide at Crystal Cove would have a bit of everything: old California, new California, beach bungalows and the a true understanding of yesteryear.
11. Favorite place for breakfast?
A simple red-eye at Pain du Monde. Scott (the owner) is a nice fella' and he was nice enough to carry the Rasta Salsa signature line, because he is a nice guy.
12. What was the best day of your life?
Under the moon light on the Island of Angullia with some very special people.
13. Last concert that you went to?
Kiev and Menomena at Segerstrom Center for the Arts.
14. Favorite vacation spot?
I love the Caribbean... anything there.
15. If you had to live somewhere else, where would you like to move?
Necker Island and get a job for Sir Richard Branson so I could live and get paid on an island. Seems very easy, right?
16. Favorite books?
Conquest by Hugh Thomas. A true understanding of the Conquest of Mexico.
17. Favorite restaurants in Orange County?
El Maguey in San Juan Capistrano. It's underrated and I like it like that.
18. Biggest accomplishment?
Having made an attempt on everything I have ever wanted, dreamed and thought of and made a few dimes in the meantime.
19. What’s your biggest fear?
Living on the street. It can happen to anyone and I feel bad for those who do and we just don't understand "why". Life is crazy and sometimes you just don't know what it will throw at you.
20. Secret most people don’t know about you?
I haven't worn underwear in about 30 years. I go commando.
