Puttin On the Ritz in L.A.!
07.05.11
Who knew that just steps from Staples Center, Nokia Theater and L.A. Live, there is a modern boutique-style Ritz-Carlton in downtown LA.
The luxury hotel shares the same high-rise building as its sister hotel the JW Marriott Hotel Los Angeles and the Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. LIVE.
On a recent stay to the luxury hotel, I was able to experience life in downtown L.A. from one of the most exciting parts of the city. The Ritz-Carlton L.A. Live sits right at the center of landmarks, such as the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Staples Center and MOCA, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, the Grammy Museum, and top restaurants.
You’ll have more entertainment and cultural options to enjoy than you’ll have time for, plus you can retreat to your sleek, modern and luxurious room, and take a swim at the private rooftop pool with panoramic views of the city.
First of all, you have to know three great tips when you book a stay here:
Definitely ask for access to the Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge, at only an extra $70 per day for one or two people, you can enjoy gourmet coffee, breakfast, lunch, snacks and desserts available four times a day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. It’s a great deal, and you’ll be treated to a relaxing respite with an incredible spread of foods with dramatic views of the city.
You can also book any 50 min. facial or massage at the Ritz-Carlton Spa Monday through Wednesday, and receive a complimentary upgrade to an 80 min.
treatment.
Ritz-Carlton at L.A. Live also boasts a modern award-winning Chinese restaurant on the 24th floor, WP24 Restaurant and Lounge by Wolfgang Puck. Puck’s passion for Asian ingredients and techniques shines through with his signature Asian small plates and sushi. It’s offering a special “Tastes of 24” menu served in the lounge from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, a chance to savor three courses from the dinner menu for just $24. It can include steamed baby bao buns, chili dan dan” dumplings, “Hong Kong style tai red snapper and the signature Marjolasian dessert. And seasonal cocktails, a glass of wine and sake selection for just $8 each.
The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles is located at 900 W. Olympic Blvd. in Los Angeles. 213.743.8824.
